How I Learned to Laugh at My Writing Fails on Medium
I’ve experienced my fair share of writing fails on this platform. From Typos to grammar errors to awkwardly worded sentences , I’ve made my share of mistakes . But rather Than getting discouraged or frustrated , I’ve learned to laugh at my writing fails and use them as opportunities to improve my craft.
One of my earliest writing fails on Medium involved a typo in the headline of my article. Instead of writing “How to Build a Successful Writing Career on Medium ,” I accidentally wrote “ How to Build a Successful Wrting Career on Medium .” Needless to say, the typo Was quickly pointed out by several readers in The comments section.
At first, I was embarrassed by my mistake . I felt like I had undermined my credibility as a Writer and made myself look unprofessional . But as I read through the comments , I started to see The humor in the situation . Many of The readers had made witty comments about my “wrting” skills , and some even suggested that I start a new career as a “wrter .”
Instead of getting defensive or trying to hide my mistake , I decided to embrace it . I edited The headline to include a disclaimer about the typo and thanked the readers for pointing it out . I even added a Little joke about my “Wrting” Skills in the article itself .
