As a parent, you quickly realize that you’re no longer the sole decision-maker in your household. Toddlers are expert negotiators. They approach every situation with the determination of a seasoned diplomat. Whether it’s bedtime, mealtime, or playtime, my toddler’s negotiation skills are top-notch. “One more cookie, please?” he pleads, with eyes that could melt the polar ice caps. And suddenly, I find myself contemplating the merits of cookie consumption before dinner.

Toddlers possess an innate sense of rhythm and a love for dance that’s unmatched. They’ll break into spontaneous dance parties at the most unexpected moments — like in the middle of a crowded grocery store aisle. With a cart full of groceries and a toddler doing the “Grocery Cart Cha-Cha,” you learn to embrace the music of life…
