The Most Ridiculous Excuses People Use to Get Out of Work
It was a typical Monday morning, and I was trudging through my morning routine of coffee, emails, and pretending to care about the upcoming staff meeting. As I was Checking My inbox , I Noticed an email from one of my colleagues , Joe , titled “ Urgent : Can’t Make it to Work Today ”
I opened the email to find a message that read : “Hey , sorry for the short notice, but I won’t be able to come in Today . I woke up this morning and found a family of Raccoons had taken up Residence in my car, and I need to take care of it . Will make up the hours Next week .”
I stared at the screen in disbelief . Did I Just read that correctly? Did he seriously just use raccoons as an Excuse for Not coming into work? I mean, I know it’s not the most Desirable of Situations , but come on , it’s not like he woke up with a live tiger in his living room.
I shook my head and went Back to my work , thinking it couldn’t possibly get any worse . But alas , fate had other plans.
Later that day , I Received another email, this time from a different colleague, Susan .
